Chicken Caliente
- 3 pounds cooked chicken - boned
- 1 tsp. chili powder
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 large green pepper - chopped
- 1 medium onion - chopped
- 1 pound sharp cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 can of cream of chicken soup
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 can rotel tomatoes, drained and chopped
- 12 tortillas or 1/2 package of doritos
- In 13 x 9 casserole, place layer of chicken (1/2) - sprinkle with half the chili powder and garlic salt, then 1/2 of soup mixture (soups, broth, tomatoes). Then layer of tortillas. Top with 1/2 the onion, green pepper and grated cheese. Repeat layers. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, uncovered, for 15 minutes. Serves 6 - 8.
