Cheeseburger Meatball Subs
- 1 lb. extra-lean ground beef Safeway 1 lb For $3.99 thru 02/09
- 1 cup KRAFT Shredded Triple Cheddar Cheese with a TOUCH OF PHILADELPHIA
- 8 unsalted tops saltine crackers, crushed (about 1/3 cup)
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 egg
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1/4 cup KRAFT Original Barbecue Sauce
- 1/4 cup MIRACLE WHIP Dressing
- 8 hot dog buns
- 8 romaine lettuce leaves
- Heat oven to 400F.
- Mix first 6 ingredients until blended; shape into 24 meatballs, using about 2 Tbsp.
- meat mixture for each.
- Place on rimmed baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray.
- Bake 15 to 17 min.
- or until done (160 degrees F).
- Meanwhile, mix barbecue sauce and dressing.
- Fill buns with lettuce and meatballs; serve with sauce.
