Chinese Chicken
- 14 cup oil
- 2 -2 12 lbs broiling chicken, cut up
- 12 cup cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon msg
- 14 teaspoon pepper
- 12 teaspoon sugar
- 14 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sherry wine
- 2 green peppers, diced
- 2 onions, sliced
- 1 (9 ounce) can crushed pineapple
- bamboo shoot, drained
- 1 (4 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
- 1 (8 ounce) can bean sprouts
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- Heat oil in a large skillet.
- Dip chicken parts in mixture of cornstarch, salt, MSG, pepper and sugar.
- Brown all sides.
- Add soy sauce and wine; cover and cook for 10 minutes.
- Remove chicken and set aside.
- Mix together all remaining ingredients in the skillet and cook over high heat for 1 minute.
- Place chicken on top, cover and lower heat and cook for 10 minutes longer.
