Maple-Glazed Baked Peaches
- 4 large peaches
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) pure maple syrup
- 1/3 cup (75 mL) whipping (35%) cream
- 2 tbsp (25 mL) finely chopped candied ginger
- 8-inch (2 L) square baking dish, ungreased
- Preheat oven to 400F (200C).
- Peel peaches.
- Cut into thick slices and place in baking dish.
- Stir together maple syrup and whipping cream.
- Drizzle over peaches.
- Sprinkle with ginger.
- Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes or until peaches are tender and glazed with sauce.
- Variation:
- You can replace the peaches with pears.
