Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. oatmeal
- 2 c. plain flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 12 oz. chocolate chips
- 1 (4 oz.) Hershey bar with almonds, crumbled
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- Cream butter and sugars.
- Add eggs and vanilla.
- In blender, process oatmeal until powdery.
- In a separate bowl, combine oatmeal, flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda.
- Add to creamed mixture.
- Mix well.
- Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar and chopped nuts.
- Cook on ungreased cookie sheet at 375u0b0 for 6 minutes.
- (Bake only six minutes; cookies will not seem done, but will set.)
- Yield:
- 50 to 60 large cookies.
