Sausage 'n' Grits Casserole
- 1/2 cup grits (not instant)
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 4 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 2 lb. sausage, cooked and drained
- Cook grits in a large pan with water and salt.
- Fold in cheese and mix well.
- Add eggs, milk, thyme and sausage.
- Pour into greased casserole.
- Bake uncovered at 350F for 1 hour.
- Can be prepared the night before.
