Herb Cheddar Bread Recipe
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/4 c. tepid water
- 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 3 Large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon each oregano, thyme, marjoram
- 3 1/4 c. flour
- 1 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar
- Dissolve yeast in water.
- Heat lowfat milk and butter, pour into bowl.
- Add in sugar and salt.
- Cold to lukewarm.
- Add in WELL BEATEN Large eggs.
- Beat in yeast mix and herbs.
- Gradually add in 2 c. flour and beat till smooth.
- Add in cheese and remaining flour and beat.
- Knead on floured board.
- Place in covered bowl and let rise till double in size.
- Knead again.
- Place in greased loaf pan and let rise again.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35 min.
