Whole Wheat Refrigerator Bread Recipe

  1. In a large bowl, stir together 2 c. flour, yeast and salt.
  2. Add in honey and butter.
  3. Pour in warm water all at once and beat with an electric mixer for 2 min at medium speed.
  4. Add in 1 1/2 c. more flour; continue to beat till thick and elastic (about 1 minute).
  5. With a spoon, stir in 2 more c. flour.
  6. Gradually add in more flour till soft dough is formed.
  7. Turn out onto lightly floured board.
  8. Knead 5-10 min till smooth.
  9. Cover with towel and let rest 10 min.
  10. Punch down and divide in 2.
  11. Shape into smooth loaves and place in well greased loaf pans.
  12. Brush tops with oil and chill 5-24 hrs, cover with towel.
  13. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  14. Let bread stand out for 10 min.
  15. Bake 35-45 min or possibly till done.
  16. Remove from pans immediately.
