Meat Pockets with Cheese in Red Sauce

  2. Cut sirloin into small slices, approximately 1.5 cm thick.

  4. Lay each slice down horizontally and cut into it (horizontally from the top to make a pocket), but not completely through.

  6. Fill each pocket with a slice of cheese.

  8. Close and secure pockets with a toothpick (wooden or metal).

  10. Mix corn flour with pepper and salt in a plate, roll each pocket in flour.

  12. Over medium heat, saute onion and garlic briefly in butter.
  13. Once they are softened, add the meat and fry on each side for 8-10 minutes over medium flame.

  15. Once the meat is done to your desired doneness, add tomatoes and wine, stir and gently simmer for about 5 minutes.
  16. Serve hot with boiled potatoes.
