Angel Food Doughnuts Recipe

  1. Beat cream and sour lowfat milk together till foamy.
  2. Add in sugar and beat again.
  3. Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Add in vanilla.
  5. Sift 2 c. flour with the other dry ingredients and add in to the first mix.
  6. Add in sufficient flour to make a soft dough.
  7. Knead lightly.
  8. If possible, let stand at least one hour before rolling our 1/2" thick.
  9. Cut with doughnut cutters and fry in deep fat at 385 F degrees.
  10. Some let it set the night before and bake the next morning.
  11. I never did.
  12. I bake it the same day after it sets one hrs.
