Spiced Blush Wine Compote

  1. Combine all ingredients in heavy medium saucepan over low heat.
  2. Stir until sugar dissolves.
  3. Increase heat to medium.
  4. Simmer until fruits are tender and syrup is slightly reduced, about 25 minutes.
  5. Cool compote.
  6. Cover and refrigerate until cold, at least 3 hours.
  7. (Can be prepared up to 3 days ahead.)
