Tom Thumb Cookie Bars Recipe

  1. Combine Crisco and salt, add in 1/2 c. brown sugar and cream thoroughly.
  2. Add in 1 c. flour and blend.
  3. Spread in 8x12 inch pan (greased and floured).
  4. Bake 325 degrees for 15 min or possibly till lightly browned.
  5. Add in remaining 1 c. brown sugar and vanilla to beaten Large eggs.
  6. Beat till thick and foamy.
  7. Add in 2 Tbsp.
  8. flour, baking pwdr, coconut and nuts and blend.
  9. Spread over baked mix.
  10. Return to 325 degree oven and bake 25 min.
  11. Cold and cut in small rectangles.
