Boiled Crawfish Recipe
- 1 1/2 quart. liquid crab boil
- 5 boxes salt
- Red pepper to taste
- 1 c. lemon juice
- Water
- 1/2 c. veg. oil
- You need 2 huge pots with baskets in them about 92 qt size.
- Fill one 1/2 full of water and add in crab boil, salt, red pepper and lemon juice.
- Heat this seasoned water to a boil, set off of fire.
- In the other pot fill 1/2 full of water, add in veg.
- oil.
- Bring this to a rolling boil.
- Add in about 40 pounds of crawfish which has been washed.
- Bring back to a boil as fast as you can.
- Cook 3 to 5 min.
- Take out of this water and put into seasoned water to soak for 5 - 10 min.
- Take out of seasoned water.
- Put in ice chest and sprinkle with Tony Chachere's crab boil.
- It is in blue container instead of green.
