Hot Fudge Sauce

  1. Chop chocolate.
  2. In 2-quart saucepan, combine cream, sugar, syrup, butter, salt, and half of chocolate.
  3. Heat on medium 5 minutes or until bubbles form at edge, stirring with wire whisk.
  4. Reduce heat to low; simmer 10 minutes, whisking often.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Whisk in vanilla and remaining chocolate until mixture is smooth.
  7. Cool 5 minutes or until thickened slightly, whisking often.
  8. Serve warm over ice cream.
