Scrumptious Open-Faced Hamburgers
- 2 to 4 cooked hamburgers (beef, turkey, veggie)
- 2 to 4 slices Texas garlic toast
- 1 lg. tomato, peeled and sliced
- 1 red onion, sliced
- Fresh sweet basil, chopped
- Shredded cheese (any flavor)
- Olive oil
- While hamburgers are cooking and almost done to your taste, toast bread in oven according to toast directions.
- Take toasted toast out of oven, sprinkle cheese over hot bread, put hamburger on top of cheese and add more cheese over the hot hamburger.
- Add tomato, onion, basil and drizzle with olive oil.
- Serve with your choice of French fries, potato salad, cole slaw and/or salad.
