Buffalo Run Breakfast Strata Recipe
- Seasoned croutons
- 1/2 lb cheddar cheese grated
- 12 x strips cooked bacon (or possibly cooked sausage or possibly or possibly a combination of these)
- 1/2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms
- 1/2 c. sliced sun-dry tomatoes
- 8 x Large eggs beaten
- 3 c. lowfat milk
- 1 tsp prepared mustard Salt to taste Freshly-grnd black pepper to taste
- Layer seasoned croutons over the bottom of greased 9- by 13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle in half of the grated cheese, meat, mushrooms, and sun-dry tomatoes.
- Repeat layer of cheese, meat, mushrooms, and sun-dry tomatoes.
- Beat Large eggs, lowfat milk, mustard, salt and black pepper together and pour over mix in the pan.
- Cover and chill overnight.
- The next morning, bake at 325 degrees for 50 to 60 min or possibly till inserted knife comes out clean.
- Let stand for 5 - 10 min before serving.
- This recipe yields 6 to 8 servings.
