Empanadas (NFL Championship Game)

  1. Chop up the bacon & cook in pan (not crisp) & remove bacon & set aside
  2. Leave bacon fat in & cook the ground venison or beef & the ground pork & set aside leaving grease in the pan
  3. Dice peppers, onions & garlic & cook in the meat fat.
  4. Add all the meat back in with the sazon, sofrito & recaito & cook for a minute & salt & pepper for taste.
  5. Fill the empanada shell in the middle with just enough room to fold over the edges & pinch
  6. Fry empanadas in 350 canola oil for 3 minutes on each side.
