Sausage & Broccoli Rabe Pasta
- 1 pound Pasta Of Your Choice
- 2 Tablespoons Butter, Divided Use
- 5 Tablespoons Olive Oil, Divided
- 2 cloves Minced Garlic
- 1 bunch Chopped Broccoli Rabe
- 3 pounds Sweet Italian Sausage
- 4 Tablespoons White Wine
- 1 teaspoon Salt/Pepper For Seasoning
- 2 slices Bacon
- Cook pasta according to package instructions.
- When done drain off the water and keep the pasta in the pot.
- Pour in a little bit of olive oil or butter to prevent from sticking.
- Heat up a skillet over medium heat with 2 tablespoons olive oil.
- When oil is hot, add your minced garlic and cook for 30-40 seconds.
- Add your broccoli rabe and stir to coat it with the oil.
- Broccoli rabe will shrink, but cook it for 5-7 minutes.
- Set aside.
- Heat up another skillet over medium heat with another 2 tablespoons of olive oil.
- While your oil heats, take your sausage out of the casing and crumble it.
- Add your crumbled sausage to the oil and break it up more with a wooden spoon or spatula.
- Cook until browned, about 10 minutes.
- If sausage starts to stick to the skillet, add in some white wine to deglaze the pan.
- Add some seasonings of your choice such as salt and pepper.
- Cook your bacon in an additional skillet over medium heat.
- Once its crispy remove it from the skillet and then chop it up into pieces.
- When sausage is done, add in your bacon, then your broccoli rabe mixture and mix it all up.
- Add this mixture to your cooked pasta and top with some extra butter, salt and pepper.
- Enjoy!
