Chia Seed Crusted Tilapia
- 1 Egg, Beaten
- 1 cup Chia Seeds
- Any Seasoning Blend Of Your Choice, To Taste
- 4 Tilapia Fillets
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- Olive Oil, Or Any Oil Of Choice, Enough To Coat The Bottom Of Your Pan To Cook The Fish
- This recipe can pretty much be eyeballed and adjusted to your needs.
- I normally dont measure anything out when I make it, I just eyeball it as I go along.
- In a skillet over medium heat heat a thin layer of oil.
- While that is heating up, put your egg in one bowl and the chia seeds and seasoning blend in another.
- Season your fish with salt and pepper.
- Dredge the fish in the egg, then in the chia seed mixture, making sure to coat both sides.
- Place fish in the oil.
- It takes about 5 minutes to cook on each side, depending on how thick your fillets are.
- Mine were pretty thin so it didnt take long at all.
- Youll know they are done when they can be easily flaked.
- Be careful flipping them, I almost always break mine.
- Serve with veggies and brown rice.
