Spaghetti With Sausage and Peppers
- 1 lb smoked sausage, 1/4-inch slices (kielbasa)
- 2 medium green bell peppers, thinly sliced
- 2 medium red bell peppers, thinly sliced
- 1 onion, halved and thinly sliced
- 3 diced tomatoes with juice, cans
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 14 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- louisiana hot sauce, to taste
- 12 cup chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 12 ounces spaghetti (cooked and drained )
- In a dutch oven, brown sausage.
- Add peppers and onions.
- saute for 2 minutes Add tomatoes.
- garlic.
- hot sauce, paprika.
- salt.and cayenne.
- Cook and stir until vegetables are tender.
- Combine broth and cornstarch and add to sausage mixture.
- Bring to a boil.
- Stir until thickened.
- Add spaghetti and cook 5 minutes.
- Stirring occassionally.
