Better than Beef!? Amazing Pork Sukiyaki

  1. The vegetables: Slice the leek diagonally.
  2. Cut the stems off the shiitake mushrooms and slice in half.
  3. If the mushrooms are small, just make a crisscross cut in the caps.
  4. Cut 2 thin slices of ginger.
  5. Cut the pork in half if needed.
  6. Cut the shirataki noodles in half.
  7. Cut the grilled tofu into large cubes.
  8. Combine the seasonings in a bowl.
  9. Wet the inside of a pan, and add all the vegetables.
  10. Layer the pork on top of the vegetables.
  11. Pour the combined seasonings from Step 3 onto the pork.
  12. Simmer over high heat.
  13. When the pan comes to a boil, mix the contents and simmer over medium heat.
  14. When everything is cooked through, it's done.
  15. To eat: Dip into beaten raw egg and sprinkle shichimi spice.
  16. If the flavor thins out, add a little soy sauce.
