Unusual Banana Bread

• 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 2 cups flour, all-purpose
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 18 teaspoon salt
• 3 medium bananas mashed
• 1/4 cup nuts
• 1/2 cup nuts
• 1/2 cup maraschino cherries chopped
• 1/4 cup chocolate chips

1. Cream together shorening and sugar.
2. Add eggs and mix well.
3. Sift dry ingredients and add to creamed mixture.
4. Stir in remaining ingredients.
5. Bake in greased loaf pan for 45 minutes at 350F (180C).
