Goulash

  1. Trim and Cut stew meat into cubes (i used top sirloin).
  2. Season with salt, pepper, oregano, garlic powder, and paprika.
  3. sear in olive oil on med high heat until golden brown.
  4. Set meat aside.
  5. Saute onions and smashed fresh garlic in same pan scraping brown bits from meat.
  6. Add butter and seasonings and after a minute add flour and stir for 2 minutes.
  7. Stir in chicken stock, paprika, thyme, oregano, salt and pepper and bring to a low boil.
  8. Peel and dice two russet potatoes.
  9. Add ground mustard, brown sugar, tomato sauce, and barbeque sauce.
  10. Toss everything in the crock pot on high for 3 hours and serve over pasta or rice.
  11. You can also put everything in a dutch oven or large pot and cook on medium for about 2 hours stirring occasionally.
