Corned beef and cabbage

  1. Place roast in crock pot.
  2. Mix beef base with water.
  3. Sprinkle seasons on roast and add base.
  4. Turn crock pot on low heat.
  5. (I put mine on for 10 hours.)
  6. After it was done I put it on for another 10 hours.
  7. Once it was done, I left the crock pot on warm and started the cabbage.
  8. At this point put your oven on 350
  9. Cut the cabbage in small pieces and place them in water to get soft.
  10. Almost like a tender crisp.
  11. About 25-30 minutes.
  12. Set your burner between med and hi heat.
  13. Cut your bacon in one inch squares, place on baking sheet and put in oven till just cooked.
  14. Cabbage should be perfect.
  15. Drain water.
  16. Take bacon out of oven and put the cabbage on pan with bacon and drippings.
  17. Stir making sure everything is combined.
  18. Add your vinegar.
  19. Stir again.
  20. Bake for another 30 -45 minutes
