Simple Moules-Frites

  1. In a large pot over medium to high heat add the butter.
  2. Saute the shallots and garlic until soft.
  3. Add the beer and bring to a simmer.
  4. Add the cleaned mussels and cover.
  5. Steam until the mussels are open, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  6. Add the herbs and season the broth with salt and pepper.
  7. Serve with French fries.
