Mandarin Orange Green Salad Recipe

  1. In a small pan over medium heat, cook almonds and 3 Tbsp.
  2. sugar, stirring constantly till almonds are coated and sugar dissolved.
  3. Watch carefully, as they burn easily.
  4. Cold and store in airtight container.
  5. Mix salt, pepper, oil, parsley, 2 Tbsp.
  6. sugar, vinegar and warm pepper sauce; chill.
  7. Mix lettuces, celery and onions.
  8. Just before serving, add in almonds and oranges; toss with dressing.
  9. Note: A clear poppy seed dressing also complements this salad and can be used instead.
  10. Makes 4-6 servings.
