Easy with a Pressure Cooker Simmered Pork

  1. Pour boiling water over the pork block.
  2. Rinse in cold water to cool.
  3. Slice the ginger unpeeled.
  4. Add the pork and all ingredients into the pressure cooker.
  5. Cook over high heat until the pressure drops.
  6. Turn the heat to medium low, and simmer for 20 minutes.
  7. Steam for 10-15 minutes.
  8. Tilt the weight to make sure the steam doesn't escape.
  9. Remove the lid.
  10. Simmer to reduce the sauce for 5 minutes as you roll the meat around.
  11. Slice the meat and serve.
  12. The flavor will really soak in if you set it aside overnight.
  13. If you also cook boiled eggs in step 3, they will turn into delicious simmered eggs!
