Maple Sweet and White Mashed Potatoes
- 5 pounds white potatoes, peeled
- 3 pounds sweet potatoes or yams, peeled
- 1 1/2 pounds butter
- 1/2 cup cream
- Salt and pepper
- 3/4 cup pure maple syrup
- In a large saucepot, boil white and sweet potatoes together.
- Cook until soft.
- Drain off water.
- Try to get all liquid out of the pot.
- Add butter, cream, salt, and pepper, and whip until all ingredients are incorporated.
- Add maple syrup and serve.
