Easy Sausage Mac & Cheese Casserole

  1. Start boiling 2 quarts of water in medium sized pot
  2. Also start boiling 4 quarts of water in large stock pot
  3. Brown sausage in pan
  4. once boiling add browned sausage links to medium pot boiling water and cook until internal temp reaches 160F
  5. once boiling add pasta to large pot boiling water, reduce heat and cook until aldente
  6. pre heat oven to 350F
  7. Once sausage is finished remove from pot and slice sausage
  8. Once pasta is aldente strain pasta (do not rinse) and return to pot
  9. Add cheese sauce to pasta and stir thoroughly
  10. Add bacon bits to pasta and stir
  11. Add sliced sausage to pasta and stir
  12. Pour pasta into casserole dish
  13. Mix cheddar and mozzarella then layer on top of pasta in casserole dish
  14. cook in oven at 350 for 10 minutes or until cheese is evenly melted
  15. Turn oven on broil for 5 minutes or until cheese is golden brown
  16. Allow at least 10 minutes to cool before serving
