The Basic Way to Boil Chestnuts
- 300 grams Chestnuts
- 1/2 tbsp or more Salt
- 1000 ml or more Water
- Wash the chestnuts and soak them for about half a day.
- Boil water in a pot and add salt.
- Place the chestnuts in the pot and bring to a boil.
- Once the water comes to a boil, set to low heat and simmer the chestnuts for 40-50 minutes.
- Once they finish boiling, let them sit in the pot until the water cools.
- Cut the chestnuts in half with a knife and scoop out the flesh with a spoon.
