Unstuffed Green Bell Peppers

  1. In a large frying pan, brown the ground beef.
  2. Add the chopped onion and cook about 5 minutes longer.
  3. Drain off the fat.
  4. Add the vegetable juice, salt, uncooked converted rice, basil and chopped green peppers.
  5. Bring to a boil.
  6. Stir, reduce heat and cover the pan.
  7. Cook for about 20-25 minutes, stirring once in a while, until rice is done.
