Banana Nut Ring

  1. Dissolve Jello in boiling water Drain pineapple, measuring syrup (juice).
  2. Add cold water to juice to make 1 1/2 cup; add to Jello.
  3. Chill until very thick.
  4. Fold in pecans and bananas.
  5. Pour into 1 1/2 quart ring mold.
  6. Chill until firm.
  7. Prepare dream whip (thaw Cool Whip) as package directs.
  8. Fold in drained pineapple.
  9. Chill.
  10. To serve, unmold ring and spoon pineapple mixture into center.
  11. Garnish with quartered maraschino cherries.
