Potato and Bacon Dumplings
- 2 cups grated raw potatoes
- Pepper to taste
- 1 tsp. garlic salt
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup cracker crumbs
- 2 to 3 tbsp. flour
- 1 lb. bacon
- 1 lg. onion, chopped
- In large bowl mix together the grated potatoes, pepper, garlic salt, egg, cracker crumbs and flour.
- (It will look like dough.)
- Drop by tablespoons into boiling, salted water.
- Boil for 10 minutes.
- While boiling, cut bacon into small pieces and chop onion.
- Remove dumplings from water and immediately put in frying pan with uncooked bacon and onions.
- Fry until golden brown.
