Kentucky Mint Julep

  1. Heat sugar and water in nonreactive sauce pan until simmering and thoroughly dissolved.
  2. Add fresh mint leaves and remove from heat.
  3. Let cool to room temperature and then strain.
  4. Fill tall "Collins" glasses with ice cubes or crushed ice.
  5. Add 1 oz (28 grm).
  6. syrup to each glass.
  7. Add 2 oz (56 grm).
  8. bourbon to each glass.
  9. Stir gently and garnish with more mint.
