Chocolate Cake(Fat Free)
- 1 1/4 c. flour
- 1/2 c. unsweetened cocoa
- 1/4 c. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 c. water
- 3 egg whites
- 1/2 c. light or dark corn syrup
- Spray 9-inch square baking pan with cooking spray.
- In large bowl, combine flour, cocoa, cornstarch, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
- In medium bowl, using a fork or wire whisk, stir sugar and water until sugar is almost dissolved.
- Add egg whites and corn syrup.
- Stir until thoroughly blended.
- Gradually add to flour mixture, stirring until smooth.
- Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 350u0b0 for 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan or wire rack.
- Makes 16 servings.
