Sourdough Applesauce Donuts Recipe

• 2 2/3 c. flour
• 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
• 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
• 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 c. sugar
• 2 egg yolks
• 2 tbsp. shortening
• 1/2 c. applesauce
• 1/2 c. starter
• 1/4 c. buttermilk

1. Mix dry ingredients thoroughly.
2. Add in rest of ingredients mixing well then knead the dough well.
3. Roll dough out to about 1/2 inch thick and cut into donuts.
4. Heat veg.
5. oil to 390 degrees.
