Too Good to Be Good for U-- Turkey Meatloaf
- 1 14 lbs ground turkey breast
- 4 slices whole wheat bread, soaked in
- 14 cup water
- 2 egg whites
- 12 large onion, chopped
- 2 stalks scallions, medium chopped
- 1 jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
- 12 red bell pepper, finely chopped
- 1 small carrot, finely chopped
- 14 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon seasoning salt (e.g. Lawry's brand)
- 1 tablespoon gravy master seasoning and browning sauce
- 14 teaspoon dried basil
- 14 teaspoon dried thyme
- 14 teaspoon salt
- 12 teaspoon black pepper
- 34 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons honey or 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 12 tablespoons balsamic vinegar or 1 12 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 dash Tabasco sauce (optional)
- In a large bowl, thoroughly combine the ground turkey, soaked bread and egg whites.
- Add all remaining ingredients to the turkey mixture (except those listed for the sauce) and combine with your hands or a mixing spoon.
- Bake uncovered in a greased loafpan at approximately 400 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl.
- Spread sauce on top of meatloaf and bake for an additional 20 minutes at 350 degrees.
