Maple Cardamom Spiced Milk

  1. Bring the milk to a simmer and remove from heat.
  2. I just heated in the microwave.
  3. Add the tea bag and steep for 6 minutes.
  4. Stir in ground spices and maple syrup.
  5. Remove tea bag.
  6. For the ground spices: Warm whole spices, separately, in a non-stick saute pan for a few minutes until fragrant.
  7. Use a mortar and pestle or spice grinder to crush until smooth.

  10. Substitute the milk for almond or soy milk, if you like.
