Quick Peach Cobbler
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 4 to 6 medium (4 cups) peaches, peeled, sliced*
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
- 1 Land O Lakes Egg, slightly beaten
- 3 tablespoons milk
- Land O Lakes Heavy Whipping Cream, sweetened, whipped
- Heat over to 400F.
- Stir together 1 cup sugar, cornstarch and nutmeg in bowl.
- Add peaches; toss gently to coat.
- Place into ungreased 8-inch square baking pan.
- Stir together flour, 3 tablespoons sugar, baking powder and salt in bowl; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in egg and milk just until moistened.
- Drop 9 equal portions of dough onto peaches.
- Sprinkle with remaining sugar.
- Bake 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly around edges.
- Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
