Quick Peach Cobbler

  1. Heat over to 400F.
  2. Stir together 1 cup sugar, cornstarch and nutmeg in bowl.
  3. Add peaches; toss gently to coat.
  4. Place into ungreased 8-inch square baking pan.
  5. Stir together flour, 3 tablespoons sugar, baking powder and salt in bowl; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Stir in egg and milk just until moistened.
  7. Drop 9 equal portions of dough onto peaches.
  8. Sprinkle with remaining sugar.
  9. Bake 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly around edges.
  10. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
