Chinese Style Spareribs Recipe
- 3 to 4 pound ribs (country style or possibly regular)
- 2 (4 ounce.) jars baby food peaches or possibly apricots
- 1/3 c. ketchup
- 2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 c. vinegar
- 2 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
- Rub the ribs with the salt.
- Combine the rest of the ingredients.
- Set sauce aside.
- Place the ribs in a shallow, foil-lined baking pan.
- Bake for 15 min.
- Pour off grease.
- Lower oven to 325 degrees.
- Pour the sauce over the ribs, and bake for 1 1/2 hrs.
- Baste several times.
- Serve the sauce which collects in the pan with the ribs.
