Lower-Carb Apple Topping or Apple Dessert!!
- 1 apple (preferably a variety that is good for pie)
- 12 teaspoon lemon juice
- 12 teaspoon apple pie spice, pumpkin pie spice or 12 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon reduced-fat butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar-free maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon sugar substitute
- 14 teaspoon cornstarch
- Peel and Core apple and cut into small segments.
- Drop segments into a microwave safe bowl.
- Add the spice, butter and sugar substitute and mix thoroughly.
- Last add the cornstarch and mix until all the apple is coated.
- Heat in the microwave for about 2 or 3 min depending on your watts.
- And then waaalaaa, apple topping!
