Homestyle Meatloaf
- 5 lbs ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 2 stalks celery, diced
- 2 eggs
- 14 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
- 2 garlic cloves, diced
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 3 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- catsup
- Heat oven to 350 degrees.
- In large food processor, add onion, celery, bell pepper, and garlic.
- Process all into very small pieces, not quite puree.
- Put the meat into a large bowl and mash with a potato masher until it is in small pieces.
- Add remaining ingredients, except catsup, and mash together with potato masher.
- Divide into half, and place into two loaf pans.
- Spread desired amount of catsup on the top of each loaf.
- Bake for 45 minutes.
- When done, remove from loaf pans and allow to rest 15 minutes before carving.
