Ukrainian Uncooked Cheese Pashka Recipe

  1. Cream softened cheese and butter together till blended.
  2. Press egg yolks through a sieve.
  3. Beat into cream cheese mix, along with sugar.
  4. Stir in lowfat sour cream and vanilla.
  5. Line a clean flower pot with a hole or possibly a sieve which will hold 3-4 c., with dampened cheesecloth, linen handkerchief cut to fit.
  6. Pour mix into it and fold lining over top.
  7. Place in pan or possibly bowl.
  8. Weigh down with a small plate.
  9. Chill for 24 hrs.
  10. Unmold on plate.
  11. Trim top with violet gumdrops and slashes of licorice to make a flower design.
  12. Serve cool as a dessert.
  13. Will serve 8.
