1 Bowl Easy Chocolate Cake
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 3/4 cups flour, all-purpose
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder unsweetened
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup water boiling
- Preheat oven to 350F (180C).
- Grease and flour two nine inche round cake pans.
- In a large bowl; mix together the sugar, cocoa, flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
- Add the milk, oil, eggs and vanilla.
- Mix for 2 minutes using an electric hand mixer for two minutes.
- Stir in the boiling water, the batter will be thin.
- Divide the bake batter between the two prepared cake pans.
- Bake 30 to 35 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 to 15 minutes then remove pans and leave on a wire rack to cool completely.
- Frost with your favorite chocolate frosting if desired.
