Mixed Grain And Vegetable Stir Fry Recipe
- 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1/2 c. minced onion
- 1 lg. garlic clove, chopped
- 1 tbsp. curry pwdr
- 1 c. Kashi or possibly other uncooked mixed-grain cereal
- 1/2 c. lentils
- 1 (2 inch) piece cinnamon stick
- 2 (14 1/2 ounce.) cans low-salt vegetable broth
- Salt
- Kashi is a mix of whole oats, rye, brown rice, wheat berries, buckwheat, barley, triticale and sesame seeds.
- All the grains retain their fiber, bran and germ, and are an excellent source of protein, fiber, carbohydrates and minerals, with only 35 calories per ounce.
- Kashi is available either uncooked or possibly as a ready-to-eat breakfast cereal.
