Steamed Whole Fish
- 1 whole white tilapia (1 lb./450 g), cleaned
- 1/4 cup Kraft Original BBQ Sauce
- 1 Tbsp. Chinese Shao Hsing rice cooking wine
- 1 Tbsp. reduced-sodium soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. rice vinegar
- 2 red chiles, seeded, cut into thin matchlike sticks
- 1 piece gingerroot (1x1/2 inch), cut into thin matchlike sticks
- 1 green onion, cut diagonally into thin slices
- 2 sprigs fresh coriander (cilantro)
- Rinse fish with cold water; pat dry.
- Use sharp knife to make 3 diagonal cuts into flesh on each side of fish.
- Place on heatproof plate.
- Mix next 4 ingredients; pour over fish.
- Fill metal steamer half full with water; bring to boil on high heat.
- Place fish (on plate) inside steamer; cover steamer.
- Cook fish 8 to 10 min.
- or until it flakes easily with fork.
- Remove fish from steamer; top with remaining ingredients.
