Spicy Pumpkin Cake

  1. Grease and lightly flour a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
  2. In mixer bowl cream together brown sugar and butter or margarine until light.
  3. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each.
  4. Combine buttermilk, pumpkin and molasses.
  5. Thoroughly stir together flour, orange peel, soda, salt and spices.
  6. Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternating with buttermilk mixture, beating after each addition.
