Easy Potato and Carrot Dish to Serve with Rice
- 1 Potatoes (medium size)
- 1 Carrot (medium size)
- 1 tbsp Sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 1 as much as you need Vegetable oil (for frying)
- Cut the potatoes into matchstick shaped pieces about 4 to 5 cm long and about 5 mm wide pieces.
- Soak the slices in water (but not for too long).
- Cut the carrots to about the same size as the potatoes.
- Pour vegetable oil in a frying pan on medium heat and add the potatoes and carrots.
- Add sake when the potatoes become transparent.
- Let the sake cook down.
- Turn up the heat a little and add soy sauce.
- Fry until it gives off a nice roasted aroma, then sprinkle in the sesame seeds.
- You're all done!
