Spiced Winter Cider
- 1 gallon apple cider
- 5 cinnamon sticks, plus extra for garnish
- 2 oranges, cut into wheels
- 1 red apple, cored and sliced
- 1 green apple, cored and sliced
- 1 12 teaspoons whole cloves
- 14 cup dried cranberries
- 1 -1 12 ounce spiced rum (Tuaca, Captain Morgan, etc.) (optional) or 1 -1 12 ounce liqueur, per serving (Tuaca, Captain Morgan, etc.) (optional)
- In a big pot, combine the apple cider, cinnamon, fruit, cloves, and dried cranberries; bring to a boil.
- Decrease heat and simmer 8-10 minutes.
- Ladle cider (without spices and fruit) into coffee mugs and serve hot.
- If desired, add spiced rum or Tuaca to each serving.
- Garnish with cinnamon sticks.
