Almond Torte
- 1 13 cups whole wheat pastry flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 13 cup sugar
- 1 medium egg, slightly beaten
- 12 cup butter
- 12 cup sugar
- 1 cup almonds, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- 2 medium eggs
- 12 cup raspberry jam
- 12 cup icing sugar
- 1 medium lemon, juice of
- Mix the first 5 ingredients together well.
- Press into a 8" springform pan.
- Chill 30 minutes.
- Mix next 5 ingredients together and beat until light and then pour over chilled shell.
- Bake 350 oven for 30 minutes.
- Cook 1 hour and remove from pan.
- Spread top with raspberry jam.
- Combine icing sugar and lemon juice and drizzle over cake.
